Studio Chloé Nègre

Chloé Nègre
A graduate of École Camondo, Chloé Nègre began her career working on interior architecture projects in France and abroad. In 2015, she founded her own design Studio to develop a personal design language.
Her passion for craftsmanship and travel informs elegant, vibrant interiors. Each project grows from encounters and the history of a place, with close attention to materials, colour and detail.
« I like to create places that act as vessels of emotion and connection, spaces where people feel at ease and where the eye awakens through subtle interplays of textures and colorful contrasts. »

An approach to place
The Studio designs hotels, shops, restaurants and private residences in France and abroad. Each place is considered as a whole, from volumes, light and circulation to furniture and colour.
Intuition provides the first creative impulse. Sketches, models, perspectives and technical drawings develop the vision, followed by site supervision and production. Bespoke design and attention to detail guide each stage.
The team
Chloé Nègre brings together interior architects, designers and project managers, working in dialogue with artists and craftspeople.
Madlie Cornuault, an interior architect and designer, has worked with Chloé Nègre for almost ten years. A partner in the Studio, she leads project design and the interior architecture team.
François-Xavier Fonbonnat, an interior architect and furniture designer, heads the furniture division. His work combines a command of natural materials with exacting standards of design and craftsmanship.
Designing for longevity
Environmental considerations inform the Studio’s design process: certified natural materials, the life cycle of objects, handcrafted production in controlled quantities and the preservation of existing fittings. Reuse and recyclability are part of this approach.
Laclaux
In September 2024, Chloé Nègre and François-Xavier Fonbonnat founded Laclaux, a furniture publishing house, alongside the Studio. Laclaux is committed to passing natural resources, craftsmanship and furniture on to future generations.
